Travelogue Jordan 2011
Amman
Then we entered the capital Amman. With the car. A real adventure, if you need to drive to a hotel without address (as there are no street names, see Organization) at a time when the most central roads of the city are closed due to construction. It was very nice how the locals tried to help us, but in the end we hired a taxi driver to lead us.
In Amman hotels you get much less value for your money than elsewhere in the country. And we found the capital not interesting enough to spend there more than one day of our two weeks in Jordan. However it was easy to fill one day by visiting the historical sites and the center.
