Minneriya National Park

Directly after our little climb we went to a safari in the Minneriya National Park. A nice little trip, though nowhere near Tanzania to compare.

Asian water monitor, Sri Lanka — In real life, an Asian water monitor looks like this. The guys can grow up to three meters long. We only saw this one, though.

water buffalo, Minneriya National Park, Sri Lanka — And there are water buffalo here. However, a strong mixing of the wild buffaloes with house-buffaloes probably took place on Sri Lanka.
